India vs England, 2016: 1st Test venue, time, squads, stats and head-to-head

India and England begin a five-match Test series the first match to be played in Rajkot on Wednesday.

The much-awaited India-England five-match Test series is set to begin in Rajkot on November 9. India are currently the top ranked team in the world while England are number four. Before the match, here is a quick look at the details of the match. The first Test between India and England will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association stadium which has a capacity of 28, 000. It was earlier known as the Khandheri Cricket Stadium.

The match will begin at 0930 hrs IST and on first day i.e. Wednesday, the toss will take place at 0900 hrs IST. The squads for the two teams are:
