Bollywood songs are indispensable in Indian weddings. We all have memories of overexcited relatives dancing with unmatched enthusiasm at functions, upping the entertainment ante in the Sangeet, Cocktail dinners, wedding evening and all the other functions. Such is the energy and popularity of these peppy Bollywood “shaadi numbers” as they’re called that people in the UK too can’t resist its charm. This video, posted by Entertainment TV on their Facebook page, shows a couple in the UK grooving to the beats of the popular wedding song “Bole Chudiyan” from Karan Johar’s film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
What is delightful about the video is that it isn’t some wild celebratory dancing with random moves, but a perfectly coordinated and choreographed performance where everyone – from the bride to the groom and the bridesmaids – is performing with the elegance and grace of our beloved Bollywood heroes and heroines.
Karan Johar’s films usually showcase the stories of the Indian diaspora and his films have always struck a chord with the NRIs. And through them, the popularity has spread to the British masses too. And what better way to pay tribute to Bollywood music than with an extremely popular wedding song. This particular video has been uploaded several times and on several platforms, so its origin could not be ascertained. Nevertheless, this one post on Facebook managed to garner close to 2 million views in just over a month with a whopping 20,000-plus shares. Just goes to indicate how much Netizens love it.
What did you think of their dance choreography on the song? Tell us in the comments below.
