Ever seen a waterfall flowing upwards? This footage, uploaded on December 7, shows waterfall defying gravity. Captured from The Devils Chimney parallel to Glencar waterfall in Co. Leitrim, Ireland, the video was shot when Storm Desmond hit the west coast of the country.

The punishing storm hit UK and Ireland last weekend flooding the cities, leaving people homeless and heavily affecting transportation.

However, the water is flowing upwards due to a phenomenon called updrafts which causes the water flowing downwards to shoot upwards. “The footage was shot during Storm Desmond’s destructive trip along the west coast of the country. In the video you will see the wind and the water do battle along the side of the mountain. From time to time the water succeeds in making the 150ft drop down the mountain side,” the filmer wrote.
