On June 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his first interview after becoming PM to a private TV channel to Times Now and news anchor Arnab Goswami. Though Goswami’s uncharacteristic interviewing style evoked a lot of opinion, but one such unexpected opinionated meme came from an inadvertent tweet from the Twitter handle of a news channel.

Someone at Aaj Tak tweeted a meme with a message that called Goswami a chamcha, soon after the interview came out from the channel’s official handle.

The tweet caught the attention of and irked many on social media. A Twitter user, Jaini, pointed it out saying: “Dear @aajtak @aroonpurie shame on you..this is journalism..a media handle reduced to a lowly troll? #ShameOnAajTak”.

Soon enough, a lot of people started tweeting with the hashtag #ShameOnAajTak and the channel responded to the Twitter user apologising for the mistake and saying it was a human error. They even requested the user to delete his post, which he didn’t.
