When you give your little nephew some pocket money, you’ll see him dreaming away of buying the best chocolates money could buy or maybe a toy he’s had his eye on for a while. But that’s not the case for five-year-old William Evertz Jr from New Jersey. This boy spent five months saving his pocket money so he could use it for a better purpose someday. While he has set up a perfect example for children his age, he has also inspired elders across with his act of kindness.

William decided he would spend his saved money on ‘random acts of kindness’ than on a new toy or expensive chocolates.

For a long time, William thought about how he could use the money and he finally decided that the Winslow Township Police Department should benefit first, according to Daily Metro. The kid decided he would deliver lunch to the police officers in his community as a ‘thank you’ for keeping him safe “even when he sleeps”. Also because, he wanted the officers to “be healthy”.

His mother, Tara Evertz emailed the Winslow Township Police Department to inform them about her son’s sincere wish and the happy bunch of policemen obviously obliged. The police department later updated their Facebook page to let the community know what William had done for them.

According to the police department’s Facebook post, the five-year-old also planned to donate school supplies, clothes and toys to a domestic violence shelter, food and supplies to a local animal shelter, and $25 to a less fortunate family to assist with daycare expenses.

How cool is that!
