Senior RSS and BJP leader Ram Madhav’s tweets where he questioned Vice-President Hamid Ansari’s absence from the Yoga Day celebrations at the Rajpath seems to have backfired. The vice-president’s office later clarified that he was not invited to the event. Following this, Madhav deleted his tweets. But not before the twitteratti noticed the tweets. Demanding an apology from the BJP leader, the hashtag #IstandWithHamidAnsari started trending.
Today, Minister of State for AYUSH Shripad Naik, whose Ministry organised the International Day of Yoga event at Rajpath on Sunday, said when Prime Minister is the chief guest at a programme, the President or Vice President cannot be invited as per protocol as the two are above the PM in order of precedence.
Here are some of the tweets

Everything doesnt have to stand on Ego. Hamid Ansari is owed a small, gracious apology so that the chapter can be closed with dignity.
