Our primary computer these days is a smartphone and that space is so huge, almost every other company or even a rich person wants to make a presence. While the space is big, it’s dominated by Chinese manufacturers and Zopo is just another name.
Zopo Color E ZP350
After having reviewed many Chinese smartphones lately, I am not convinced that there are any major differentiator. Among Zopo’s first two smartphones – Speed 7 and Speed 7 Plus – I found the later very promising. Most come with the same processor, display and even materials tend to be same. So, Zopo wants to change just that – with its Color series devices. But is that ‘Color’ enough for you to put your cash? Let me answer that.

What is Good?
I got the review unit in Pink colour. Before you even find it bad, let me tell you that this is a very appealing colour. A colour that didn’t off put me inspite of pink being deemed a girlish colour. The pink colour is not just restricted to back panel, it also flows around the trims of front panel with metallic side keeping them apart.
The Zopo Color E ZP350 comes with backlit Android navigation keys and smartly, Zopo has opted for the LED in same colour as the device. Neat touché there.
Under the hood though it’s a very standard affair. The 1GHz processor coupled with 1GB RAM does help in browsing web pages and accessing basic services like social media and communication services, just don’t load it with too much stuff.
I’m very particular about the colour reproduction on smartphone display and pixel density don’t matter to me till the time, the colours are vivid and rich. Zopo Color E ZP350 did impresse me here. This cheap smartphone has a nicer display which is a great precedence for beautiful displays on budget devices.
Also worth noting that Zopo Color E also has a front LED flash for those selfies at night. Not a big addition but still feels reasonable choice.
What is not that good?
On the first day, I had lot of software issues including issues with unlocking the device. Every Time there would be a call, the device display would not fire up. It was frustrating but I eventually fixed that by resetting the device.
Also the device initially came with Z-UI launcher and Apus as Home options and later they removed Apus with an over-the-air update. I don’t see a reason for accepting these software glitches.
This review won’t be featuring any camera sample because it is just like other devices in the market. There is no much to talk about it
Should you buy?
While Zopo’s efforts is commendable, it is still not enough to put your cash.
