Now Aircel announces unlimited voice calling to take on rivals

Aircel has announced RC14 and RC249, which offer unlimited calls to any number in the country.

Aircel has announced RC14 and RC249, which offer unlimited calls to any number in the country. Aircel RC14 offers unlimited local and STD calling across all networks with a validity of one day. This offer includes Aircel to Aircel (local and STD) and Aircel to other networks (local and STD) calls.

Aircel RC249, on the other hand, allows for unlimited calling and unlimited data with a validity of 28 days. The RC249 includes unlimited calls (local and STD) across all networks and unlimited 2G data usage. Aircel is providing an extra 1.5GB 2G data to 4G handset users.

“As we gradually move towards the New Year, we want to delight our customers with an exciting gamut of products that offer them benefits of unlimited calling and data. Both RC14and RC249 are designed for a wide spectrum of users, who want to enjoy free calling and also stay connected online at an affordable cost,” Anupam Vasudev, Chief Marketing Officer, Aircel, said.

Rivals Airtel, Vodafone and Reliance Communications recently introduced unlimited calling plans as well. Both Airtel and Idea launched two identical schemes offering free calls and limited mobile Internet use priced at around Rs 150 and Rs 350 with 28 days validity, in their attempt to match the free 4G service from Reliance Jio.

Vodafone is offering unlimited calling for recharges above Rs 144 and free roaming on Vodafone network and 50 Mb free data and for those above Rs 344 unlimited free calls and free roaming on all mobiles network and 300 MB free data for 4G handset users and 1 Gb data for 4G  handset users.
