

Micromax announced that it will be rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Unite 2 smartphones starting April 7. The company also announced that it has sold over 1.5 million units of the Unite 2 since its launch last year. Micromax claims that the Unite 2 is one of the top 5 bestselling mobile phone in India.
Launched with the aim to remove the language barrier in the country, Unite 2 was the world’s first phone with 21 languages support.
The update on Unite-2 will be rolled out via OTA (over the air) and users can follow a simple process to get the updates on their devices . When connected to the internet, users will get a notification on their handset wherein they can directly upgrade to the latest OS. Users can also check manually for the upgrade from the following path, Setting->about phone->software update. First time buyers of Unite 2 will get Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
