Lenovo P2 smartphone, successor to the battery-centric P1, has been introduced at IFA 2016. Lenovo’s P2 has a 5100 mAh battery as its USP, which is slightly bigger than the 5000 mAh on the earlier phone. The Vibe P2 goes with a plastic cover on the back with a metal finish, and metal frames on the side. In terms of design, it similar to the Vibe series, but the phone is not as bulky or heavy, which is a big plus considering the 5100 mAh battery on board.
Just like the Vibe P1, the P2 also supports On-the-go charging, and users can rely on this smartphone to recharge their other phones, which is another plus feature. In terms of specifications, the Lenovo P2 has a 5.5-inch full HD (1920*1080) Super AMOLED display, and runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. Lenovo is launching this in two versions: 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage as well as a 4GB RAM variant with the same storage. There’s also a 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant for China only it seems.
Lenovo P2 has a 13 MP rear camera (Sony sensor) and flash as well as 5MP front camera. The smartphone also gets a fingerprint scanner on the front and NFC support. The new Vibe P2 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
Lenovo hasn’t confirmed a pricing for the Vibe P2, but it could be priced closer to $299 indicate our sources. However, a final price has not yet been decided for this phone. The Lenovo Vibe P1 had launched at a price of Rs 15,999 in India, so the P2 with its extra RAM, and additional features might be priced slightly higher.

The Lenovo Vibe P2 is expected to start shipping in October, and will be launched in India as well although again no time-frame has been set. Lenovo also introduced the K6 Note, K6, and K6 Power at IFA 2016, though it doesn’t look like these phones are headed to India anytime soon.
Lenovo’s K6 Note has a 5.5-inch full HD display and a 4000 mAh battery and it runs the Snapdragon 420 octa-core processor. Lenovo just launched the Vibe K5 Note in India, so it would be a surprise if K6 is introduced so soon.
