Lenovo has announced new Vibe K6 series at IFA 2016 in Berlin. The smartphones are successors to the existing Vibe K5 range, available in the budget smartphone space. Lenovo Vibe K6 series was spotted at IFA 2016 being held in Berlin but the device had Chinese UI, which makes us wonder whether the device will be launched in India anytime soon.
Lenovo K6, K6 Note, and K6 Power will be the three new devices part of the K6 series. At IFA 2016, Lenovo is not using the Vibe branding but it will certainly launch the devices as part of Vibe K6 series. Lenovo had recently launched the Vibe K5 Note in India at Rs 11,499.
Lenovo K6 features a 5-inch Full HD IPS display, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB RAM and 16/32GB expandable storage. Lenovo K6 sports a 13MP rear camera with single LED flash and an 8MP front camera. The budget smartphone also features Dolby Audio support and fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is backed by a decent 3000mAh battery.
Lenovo K6 Note, on the other hand, is the successor to the Vibe K5 Note. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. The camera sees some updates with the device getting a 16MP rear sensor with dual CCT flash and an 8MP fixed focus front camera. The smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor but differs from K6 in terms of memory. Lenovo K6 Note can be configured with 3 or 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The device is backed by a huge 4,000mAh battery.
Lenovo K6 Power fits right in between K6 and K6 Note. The smartphone is aimed at those looking for a small smartphone with relatively big battery. Lenovo K6 Power features a 5-inch Full HD IPS display and is backed by a 4,000mAh battery like the K6 Note. Under the hood of Lenovo K6 Power, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 2 or 3GB RAM, 16 or 32GB expandable storage. The Dual-SIM smartphone offers modern features like the fingerprint sensor and Dolby Audio support.
Lenovo K6, K6 Note, and K6 Power run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Considering the significant pressure in the sub-Rs 15,000 smartphone space, Lenovo could launch these devices sometime soon in India.
