Amazon’s Great Indian Festival sale is back on the website, and it will run from October 17-20. If you’re still looking to buy a smartphone, the second round of sale has a variety of options. Plus Amazon is offering exchange deals on most smartphones, which means a further discount on the price. Amazon exclusives like OnePlus 3, Moto G4 Plus, Lenovo Z2 Plus, Mi Max Prime, as well phones like Samsung Galaxy On 7 Pro and On 5 Pro are all part of the deals. Additionally Amazon is offering 15% (app only) or 10% (site only) cashback for Citi bank cards. Here’s a look at the offers on Amazon, and which ones are the best.
OnePlus 3: So the OnePlus 3 isexclusive to Amazon and the price remains Rs 27,999, but in exchange for an older device you can get up to Rs 20,700 off. There’s also a no cost EMI being offered by the website. With an iPhone 6s 64GB version, Amazon reflected Rs 13,950 off and a price of Rs 14,049 for the OnePlus 3.
The OnePlus 3 is a mid-range flagship with 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 820 processor, and 16MP camera, which is a great specs list for its price. In our review, we liked the OnePlus 3’s overall performance, and it is indeed a flagship killer at the price. With the exchange offer going on this is a good deal to consider, especially if you want a mid-range phone that offers a solid overall performance.
Lenovo Z2 Plus The newly launched Lenovo Z2 Plus is also available as part of exchange under Amazon’s Great India sale. While the final price is still Rs 19,999 for the 4GB RAM+64GB storage version, with exchange you can get Rs 15,300 off on the price.

The camera is not as impressive as the OnePlus 3, this is also a worthy mid-range contender on list. In terms of design, Z2 Plus looks quite stunning thanks to the glass and metal body. This one also comes with the latest Snapdragon 820 processor, and has a large 3500 mAh battery.
Moto G4 Plus: Moto G4 Plus is another phone that’s available on discount and exchange. Amazon is offering Rs 1500 off on the Rs 14,999 price tag for the 3GB RAM+32GB storage. While the discounted price is Rs 13,499, with the exchange offer you can get a maximum of Rs 10,700 off on this smartphone.
The Moto G4 Plus is a mid-budget smartphone. In our review, we loved its camera and overall performance. The 16 MP rear camera is the best you’ll get in this price bracket and the stock Android UI is likely to get updated to Android Nougat soon, which is another plus point.
Moto G4 with 16GB storage space is also available on discount at Rs 11,999 (Rs 1500 off). However if your budget is flexible, stick with the 32GB space as more onboard storage is always a better choice.
Samsung Galaxy On 7 Pro, On 5 Pro: Samsung’s budget offerings the On 7 and On 5 Pro are both part of the sale. On 7 Pro gets Rs 1200 off and is available for Rs 9,990. If you exchange this for an older device you can get a maximum discount of Rs 7,900, which effectively brings down the price to Rs 2,000, which is a very good deal. Even if you get Rs 2000-3000 off under exchange, the On 7’s price will be Rs 7,000 or less, which is worth it.
Samsung On 5 Pro is available for Rs 7,990 (again Rs 1200 off) and with exchange there’s a further Rs 6,300 off (maximum). If you’re selling an old phone for this phone, you can get it for Rs 4000-Rs 5000 depending on the device you’re trading in. That’s still a deal worth grabbing, especially if you’re on a tight budget.
Huawei Honor 5C: Huawei Honor 5C gets Rs 1000 off on Amazon and is available at Rs 9,999. Exchange means another Rs 7,900 off on the price. We liked this phone during our review with display, camera, and overall performance all being points in its favour. This one runs Android M OS.
YU Yuphoria: YU Yuphoria from Micromax’s YU Televentures is a budget option in the list of deals. It is available for Rs 4,749 on Amazon, although there’s no exchange option on this. It was launched in India at a price of Rs 6,999, and we called it a good-looking budget device at the time. The one on sale doesn’t run CyanogenMod and instead has stock Android 5.1. The battery and overall performance shouldn’t be disappointing, especially given the under Rs 5000 price during the sale.
Other devices on sale include CoolPad’s Mega 2.5, Moto G4 Play, Micromax Canvas Mega, Moto X Force, etc. So depending on your budget, you should find a good enough option in the list on Amazon. As far as exchange deals go, the smartphone’s display should be in a working condition. Also for those who purchase a 4G handset during October to December 31st, 2016 on Amazon, you can get 14GB additional data from Airtel on purchase of 1GB data at select recharge points in the country.
