Portronics launches Yogg X fitness watch with detachable dial at Rs 2,499

The water proof design of the Yogg X fitness watch allows it to be placed in up to three feet for 30 minutes in a bucket of water, Portronics said. The fitness watch allows users to set daily fitness goals, track activity levels using built in sensors, sync data with smartphone using Yogg X app, and alert users when they reach their goals.

Yogg X fitness watch monitors distances covered, calories burned, steps taken and their sleep patterns. Up to six daily reminders can be set. Aside from fitness functions, the Yogg X also displays time and date, battery status on its OLED screen. Since the screen is touch activated, it can be awakened anytime and allows users to shift between different modes by touching the designated spot.

Notifications from social media, SMS, emails, missed calls, reminders, goals achieved, Bluetooth disconnected feature can be seen on Yogg X’s OLED screen. The fitness watch weighs about 20 grams and also has Sleep Mode, where it monitors users’ sleep pattern and displays it the next day. “You can experiment with your evening habits like food, reading, watching TV, etc and see the impact on quality of sleep,” Portronics said in its press statement.

Connectivity between the fitness watch and smartphone is achieved through Bluetooth 4.0 and the Yogg X app which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It connects via Bluetooth 4.0 (which consumes less power) compared to earlier standards, and once paired with the smartphone, it connects automatically.

Yogg X fitness watch can be charged by placing the dial on the charging pod and using a micro USB cable to charge it. Once fully charged, Yogg X’s 55mAh battery lasts up to five days, the company said. Since the dial is detachable, users can switch straps according to their preferences.

Yogg X is priced at Rs 2,499 and comes in black and red colours. The fitness watch is available both online and at offline stores.
