Apple reduces pricing for new adapters of MacBook Pro 2016 after complaints

Apple has announced that it will be cutting the prices of its Thunderbolt 3 adapters, following a lot of complaint from users about the high pricing of the accessories. Considering that the new Apple notebooks start at $1,499, users need to spend a lot on peripherals considering the older generation MacBooks did not have any of the same ports.

Apple has completely redesigned its connecting ports with the new MacBook Pro 13-inch and 15-inch series, with the company offering a variety of accessories to make it compatible to all devices that do not support Thunderbolt 3. Apple has reduced the prices of its peripherals across the board, according to a Verge report.

The 2016 laptops bring an end to the MagSafe 2 charger, the USB 3.0 ports, SDXC card slot, HDMI and Thunderbolt 2, with the new devices now featuring four Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port. With all new ports, Apple can now charge top dollar to make accessories compatible. All Apple users who will be moving from the current generation MacBook Air or MacBook Pro will need to buy these adapters.

Apple unveiled three variants in its new MacBook Pro lineup, two 13-inch versions and one 15-inch variant on October 27. The cheapest in the lineup is the 13-inch MacBook Pro (without the Touch Bar) at $1,499 (approx Rs 1 lakh). It features a 2560 x 1600 pixels Retina Display and is powered by a 2.0GHz dual-core Intel i5 processor along with Intel Iris Graphics 540. It comes with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro with the Touch Bar starts at $1,799, and comes with the same display as the other variant. This 13-inch version however runs on a 2.9GHz dual-core Intel i5 processor coupled with an Intel Iris Graphics 550 card. It comes with 8GB RAM and storage options of 256GB/512GB.

Apple’s top of the line 15-inch MacBook pro starts at $2,399 and runs on either a 2.6GHz/ 2.7GHz quad-core Intel i7 processor, coupled with Intel HD Graphics 540 – and options for AMD Radeon 450,455 or 460 Graphics processors. It features 8GB RAM and comes with either 256GB/512GB SSD storage.
