In a dramatic turn of events, Triple H returned to WWE Raw and helped Kevin Owens win the WWE Universal Championship. The vacant title finally got a waist as Owens won the the thrilling Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match also featuring Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns amd Big Cass. To everyone’s surprise, Triple H first delivered a pedigree to Reigns and then stunned all by knocking out Rollins with the move.
The title had been left vacant after Finn Balor had to relinquish the belt following a shoulder injury he had sustained at WWE SummerSlam after beating Rollins at the PPV event. Last week, eight contenders had emerged for the title with one-on-one matches being played to find the eventual four challengers to decide the next title holder.

Big Cass was the first to be eliminated after a Superman Punch from Roman Reigns, kick to the face from Seth Rollins and, finally, a Frog Splash from Kevin Owens knocked him out of running.
Next to exit the ring was Seth Rollins in a twist of events that left both Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley gobsmacked. His former protege became the victim of the King of Kings’ pedigree.
