Spinners Nathan Lyon and Adam Zampa took three wickets each, and David Warner hit a run-a-ball 55, as Australia romped to a six-wicket victory over West Indies on Sunday in the second match of the one-day cricket international tri-series.
Sent in, the West Indies were skittled for 116 off 32.3 overs at the National Stadium. Leg-spinner Zampa took 3-16 in 5.3 overs, while off-spinner Lyon claimed 3-39 from 10 overs and earned the man of the match award. Left-arm quick Mitchell Starc supported well with 2-37.
Opener Warner then guided the Australians to a bonus point victory as they coasted home at 117-4 off 25.4 overs. The in-form left-hander, fresh from captaining the Sunrisers Hyderabad to the IPL title in India, hit an undefeated half-century, which included three fours and a six.
Sunil Narine led the hosts with 2-36 but their modest target was never enough to challenge top-ranked Australia.
Earlier, Starc, returning to action for the first time in six months following surgery on his foot, struck in the first over as Andre Fletcher (4) sliced a drive to backward point.
Johnson Charles top-scored with only 22, while all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite reached 21 before he was last out.
West Indies rebuilt through Charles and Darren Bravo (19), who shared a second-wicket stand of 44.
But the innings quickly went downhill after Bravo fell, driving low to extra cover off Mitchell Marsh, and Starc removed Charles with a yorker.
West Indies went from 50-1 to 116 all out as Lyon and Zampa took advantage of helpful conditions and some loose stroke play.
Lyon removed the experienced Marlon Samuels (10) and Kieron Pollard (0) off successive balls. Samuels was lbw, while the hard-hitting Pollard holed out to long on.
Warner dominated as the run chase began positively, with partnerships of 44 with Aaron Finch (19) and 41 with Usman Khawaja (27) setting up the win.
Narine, the six-wicket hero for West Indies in the series opener victory over South Africa, claimed two late wickets but the result was never in doubt.
Australia plays South Africa in the third match of the series at this same venue on Tuesday.
