Narendra Modi congratulates Saina Nehwal on Australian Open win

Saina Nehwal eked out a 11-21 21-14 21-19 over the World No. 12 Sun Yu in a fighting summit clash that lasted an hour and 11 minutes in Sydney.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated ace shuttler Saina Nehwal for winning the Australian Open Super Series event in Sydney.

“Congratulations @NSaina for the stupendous victory. The entire nation is very proud of your sporting accomplishments,” Prime Minister Modi took to twitter to congratulate India’s No.1 badminton star.
