Madhepura MP and Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) chief Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav on Friday issued an apology for making “undignified” claims of leaving politics in case RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s two sons won the Bihar Assembly elections.

“It is true that I had talked about the defeat of Lalu’s two sons in Bihar elections, and also spoke of quitting politics if they did not lose… definitely this claim was amaryadit (undignified),” he said in his Facebook account. “I should not have uttered such things for sons of any politician. I am hurt for making the undignified claim and apologise before you all.”
