Y S Jaganmohan Reddy,Kadapa MP and son of the late CM,Y S Rajasekhara Reddy,on Wednesday applied to the Election Commission for registration of his yet-to-be-launched political party that he intends to call YSR Party.
Jaganmohans uncle Y V Subba Reddy filed the application. Aides of Jaganmohan,who has resumed his odarpu yatra in Visakhapatnam district,said he was expecting the process of registration to be completed by February 15.
Jaganmohan said he wanted to launch the party before the Kadapa by-elections,which were necessitated as both Jaganmohan and his mother Y S Vijaya Lakshmi quit as MP and MLA of Kadapa and Pulivendula respectively on November 29. Jaganmohan said he would contest the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat.
