Ruchikas father SC Girhotra and Anand Prakash, who fought Ruchikas case,on Saturday said that they had provided enough evidence to the CBI to nail former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore in the three fresh cases registered by the police.
Addressing a press conference here Girhotra and Prakash said that they had been in touch with the senior CBI officials on the issue and had cooperated with the investigation agency in the fresh cases and the agency was yet to table its report in the fresh cases. Both said that there are certain forces which always try to divert the course of investigations and leak misleading information to influence his ongoing court cases. A local court is slated to pass verdict on Rathore appeal on his six months sentence and Prakashs petition on enhancing his sentence in the Ruchika molestation Case.
Girhotra, quoting a CBI officer, said that CBI was still investigating the matter and the officer told them that they had not prepared any report so far. Accusing DGP Rathore of attempting to manipulate the verdict,Girhotra said that the DGP was using his sources to spread false stories about the CBI giving a clean chit to the molester DGP for booking Ruchikas brother in false cases of theft and tempering her post-mortem report.
Girhotra said,I spoke to the investigating DIG about the CBI absolving Rathore of all the charges and he clarified that the matter was still being investigated. The CBI is yet to table the report. Rathore is now spreading false stories to influence the May 20 verdict.
