Ahead of new Army Chief General Bikram Singhs maiden visit to J&K on Friday,Pakistani troops continued to violate ceasefire for the third day,killing yet another Army jawan and injuring three others on Wednesday night. The troops resorted to unprovoked firing on forward Indian positions along the LoC in Krishna Ghati area of Poonch district.
Army officials deployed in Poonch have asked their Pakistani counterparts for a flag meeting,but there has been no response till now.
In continued Pakistani firing since Monday afternoon,two Indian soldiers have been killed and five others injured. The jawan who died in the firing late on Wednesday night has been identified as Hardev Singh. On Wednesday,Naik Rajinder Singh was killed in firing from across the LoC.
