What’s common between Rahul Mishra, Nachiket Barve, Masaba Gupta, Kallol Dutta and Aneeth Arora? Other than being talented designers who have carved out a place for themselves in the Indian fashion scene, these five were also a part of the LFW Gen Next programme and we are so glad that we got introduced.

Now, in its 23rd batch, the programme is all set to bring in five new designers to showcase their collections at the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer/Resort 2017 in its Gen Next Designer Programme. Be sure to look out for Pallavi Singh, Nakita Singh, Soumodeep Dutta, Ishanee Mukherjee & Anirudh Chawla, and Resham Karmchandani and Sanya Suri who have been chosen by the members of the LFW advisory board.

“Gen Next has launched the fashion careers of some of the great talents of India. This season too Lakme Fashion Week looks forward to celebrating the foray of a new set of spirited young fashion designers who will carve their names in the Indian fashion industry,” Purnima Lamba, Head of Innovations, Lakme, said in a statement.

Also, Jaspreet Chandok, Vice-President and Head-Fashion, IMG Reliance Limited, said, “LFW Gen Next forum has been the leading platform for designer discovery in the realm of fashion. Our Gen Next programme is not only limited to finding young talent but also to mentor them as they present their innovative collection to the industry. These designers have showcased a fabulous preview collection and I look forward to their launch on the Indian runway.”

We are already excited!
