Sonam Kapoor can go from being grunge to all princess-y within a span of 60 seconds! Sonam Kapoor can go from being grunge to all princess-y within a span of 60 seconds!

Sonam Kapoor is a fashion icon, and there’s no room for debate there. Ever since her debut in Saawariya, this Bollywood beauty has been scoring major style brownie points, one after the other. And, if you ask us, it’s been a delight to spot her on the red carpet or otherwise. There have been times when she’s faltered slightly but even then, there’s been some takeaway from those appearances. Not surprising for someone who can go from being grunge to all princess-y within a span of 60 seconds! Okay, a little exaggeration on our part but she does deliver in-style.

So, why not take some inspiration for your next outing? These two make-up tutorials by celebrity make-up artist Namrata Soni as shared on her Instagram is all you need to glam up your look.

Romance is in the air
1) Always start by prepping and refreshing the skin with a glow mist or a face mist.

2) Apply an extra repair eye-cream only under the eyes. Be careful not to apply on the eyelids as it gets oily. Use a primer or any regular moisturiser that you use daily on the rest of your face and neck by gently pressing it into your face with your palms.

3) Use a corrector as it brightens and covers discolouration under the eyes and neutralises under-eye darkness. Follow it with a concealer under the eyes and on any discolouration on the face.

4) With a clean foundation brush, apply liquid foundation with medium to full coverage, lightly all over the face and blend it with a wet sponge. With a big powder puff, use loose powder to set the foundation into the skin.

5) Use a gold eyeshadow, starting at the inner most corner of the eyes and going all the way up to the brows, and stop at the centre of the eyes. Switch to a peach eyeshadow and continue blending, from the lash line to the brow bone, creating a contour.

6) Take a soft brown eyeshadow and smudge the eyeshadow under the bottom lashes all the way from the tear duct to the outer corners of the eyes pulling it into a straight wing and deepen this with a gel liner. Curl your lashes and apply two coats of mascara concentrating it towards the outer corner. Apply a few single lashes for drama.

7) Use an orange blush on the cheeks and a gold highlighter on the high cheek bones and the bridge of the nose.

8) Finish this look with a soft coral lipstick and add a gold gloss on top to make it pop.

Colour me bright
1) Always start by prepping and refreshing the skin with a glow mist.

2) Repeat Step 2 – Step 4 as mentioned above.

3) Use a pink lip liner as an eye liner. Start near the tear duct and glide the pencil along and finish off as a winged liner. Add a touch of yellow to the inner corner of the eyes.

4) Curl your lashes and apply two coats of mascara concentrating it towards the outer corners.

5) Use a pink blush on the cheeks and a soft pearl iridescent highlighter on the high cheek bones and bridge of the nose.

6) Finish off this look with a pink gloss.
