Locals claimed to have seen the driver, and another person sitting in the back seat, fleeing after the accident. Singh and the driver of the Scorpio have been booked.
“Sonu and Pinku, who were on the motorcycle, died on the spot. The vehicle is owned by Virendra Pal Singh and posters found in the car carry his picture and name as BSP candidate. We are trying to trace Singh and the driver,” said Bijnor City CO Asit Srivastava. Despite repeated attempts, Singh couldn’t be contacted for comment.
