The office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Madhya Pradesh has asked political parties to submit lists of star campaigners who would be seeking votes for various candidates.
Official sources said that the political parties both at the national and state-level should submit lists of star campaigners to the Election Commission and the Chief Electoral Officers within seven days of notification for the election.
Recognised political parties can have a maximum 40 star campaigners and for non-recognised political parties this figure should not exceed 20.
Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh are being held in two phases on April 23 and April 30.
