The comparison put out by Captain on twitter shows that industrial growth rate during his tenure in 2007 was 21.5% while in 2015 during Badal’s tenure, the industrial growth rate stood at a mere 2.1%.

Later, Captain posted a comparison of the Per Capita Income Index where he claimed that Punjab ranked 5th in the country for per capita Income Index during 2005-2006, while during Badals tenure – Punjab ranked 16th in 2015-2016.

In a latest tweet, Amarinder drew the attention to the Agricultural sector. The tweet came with an interesting graphic where he projected the 4% agricultural growth during his tenure in a lush green paddy field and highlighted the abysmal -0.75% growth rate during Badal’s tenure (2015) in a barren land.

Captain further attacked Badals for their self-serving attitude which brought the state down and promised to bring Punjab back on track in couple of months after coming to power.

In the next few days, this Twitter series will present a comparison under all aspects Governance, informed the Congress’ Strategist Prashant Kishore’s Indian People’s Action Committee (IPAC) team representative.
