PARENTS CAN soon pay the school bus fee of their wards online as the city’s School Bus Owners Association (SBOA) has decided to go cashless from January 1, 2017.

From the new year, the SBOA will accept payments through cheques, RTGS, credit cards and debit cards, said Anil Garg, president of SBOA.

He said that a mobile application was also in the offing, that will issue identity cards to students. Parents can then track their wards. “There are plans to develop a feature in the app through which parents can directly make payments. Until then, parents can avail of the other online payment modes,” said Garg.
