Man beaten to death in Muzaffarnagar

Angered by the incident, locals blocked the Balaji Chowk in Muzaffarnagar and kept the body on the road in protest, the SHO said.

A young man was killed in a brutal assault by four persons over a financial dispute at Bhartya Colony in the district, police said on Wednesday. Pupu Saini, aged 22 was beaten to death at his residence on Tuesday evening following which the men named Bhim Singh, Sudhir, Monu and Pahadi were booked in a murder case, New Mandi SHO Parveen Yadav said.

Angered by the incident, locals blocked the Balaji Chowk in Muzaffarnagar and kept the body on the road in protest, the SHO said. The body was later sent for postmortem after police intervened, Yadav said.
