Andhra Pradesh: Teenage girl gangraped, body found hanging from tree

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three persons and her body was found hanging from a tree outside Yeturu village in Krishna District, police said on Monday.

The girl was allegedly kidnapped by the three accused, who came in an autorickshaw last evening, while she was walking on the road. She was then gangraped in an open field on the outskirts of the village, they said.

Police have identified the accused who hails from neighbouring Vibharinthalapadu village, said Nandigama Circle Inspector Sathya Kishore, adding no arrests have been made so far.

A case has been registered in Chanderlapadu Police Station and investigation is on, police added.
