The divisions within the Haryana unit of Congress clearly were visible Wednesday with a section of the leaders remaining absent at the show of strength held by former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. The senior party leaders said that they were neither invited nor informed about the event.
Even as Hooda announced a plan to hold meetings of Congress members of all districts and then at the block levels, party president Ashok Tanwar was also kept out of the loop. Neither Tanwar nor leader of Legislature Party Kiran Choudhry were present.

Choudhry when contacted said, “I was not invited for the event nor informed about it. If it was a programme of the party then I would have been told. The PCC was also not in the loop. The programme must have been organised at a personal level.”
