In a major embarrassment to the Grand Alliance in Bihar, Lalu Prasad’s elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, was interrupted twice by Governor Ram Nath Kovind and asked to repeat his oath after he mispronounced a word during the swearing-in ceremony of the state’s new cabinet.
“It’s apekshit, not upekshit,” Kovind told the 28-year-old MLA, as he had to read his script twice.
Lalu’s younger son Tejashwi Prasad also took oath as a minister in the new government. He is likely to be Nitish Kumar’s deputy in the Bihar government.

Both the brothers are expected to get plum posts in Nitish’s Cabinet.
Nitish Kumar, who led the Grand Alliance to victory in the assembly elections, took oath as the chief minister of Bihar for the fifth time.
The event was attended by a galaxy of opposition leaders from across the country, including chief ministers of half-a-dozen states and former prime minister H.D. Deve Gowda.
