At least 100 civilians were injured during protests across Kashmir after Friday prayers.
Police had imposed strict curfew to prevent demonstrations, but at least 36 incidents of stone-pelting were reported from across the region.
Protesters clashed with police and paramilitary forces at Sopore, Langate, Berwah, Budgam, Pulwama, Pattan and Anantnag. Police used tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse the protesters.
After Friday prayers, protests were also held in Langate area of Kupwara district and 18 villagers sustained injuries. Heavy clashes erupted at Maloora on the outskirts of the city.

Separatist leaders had called for protests across the Valley on Friday. Keeping in view the death of three civilians last Friday, strict curfew was imposed in the Valley. The authorities suspended mobile services, excluding BSNL postpaid, since last night. Private internet service providers were also asked to suspend their services till Tuesday.
In the city’s grand mosque — Jamia Masjid — Friday prayers were not held as all the roads leading to mosque were sealed.
