Separatist leaders had called for protests across the Valley on Friday. Keeping in view the death of three civilians last Friday, strict curfew was imposed in the Valley. The authorities suspended mobile services, excluding BSNL postpaid, since last night. Private internet service providers were also asked to suspend their services till Tuesday.

In the city’s grand mosque — Jamia Masjid — Friday prayers were not held as all the roads leading to mosque were sealed.
