Jammu: Holding tri-colour, over 3000 youths take out rally in support of security forces in Valley

Carrying tri-colour in their hands, an over 3,000 youth and school children on motorcycles and foot began their rally from M A Stadium towards Balidan Stambh under the banner of Jammu Citizen Forum.

Cutting across their religious and respective party lines, people from all walks of life took out a rally here on Wednesday in support of the security forces and state police saying that they were fighting a Pakistan-sponsored proxy war in Kashmir Valley.

Carrying tri-colour in their hands, an over 3,000 youth and school children on motorcycles and foot began their rally from M A Stadium towards Balidan Stambh under the banner of Jammu Citizen Forum so as to highlight the role and sacrifices of army, paramilitary and police personnel in safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

Waving tri-colour and riding on two-wheelers and cars, the processionists many of them known Congress sympathizers passed through various bazaars of Jammu city raising slogans in support of Indian army and chanting “Vandematram”.

They submitted a memorandum to Divisional Commissioner Dr Pawan Kotwal appreciating the contribution of army officers and jawans in withstanding challenges of army in four wars and the ongoing proxy war with courage and fortitude. Assuring their support to the armed forces and the police, the citizens called upon them to do whatever is necessary for thwarting the nefarious designs of the enemy.

Later, rally concluded at Balidaan Stambh with participants paying tributes to martyred soldiers.
