The Punjab and Haryana HC Monday granted six months’ time to a committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary Vijay Vardhan to probe alleged irregularities into allotment of 162 industrial plots during previous Congress regime in Bhiwani, Bahadurgarh, Hisar, Hathin and Raz ka Meo. The then government had invited applications for these plots in 2007 for which over 1,000 responded and allotment was made in 2010. Petitioners approached HC alleging favouratism and violation of norms in allotment of plots.
