How can you keep your kids engaged while visiting a destination to enjoy a hassle-free vacation? Choose a child-friendly destination that can offer them interesting activities to take part in. Here are five such resorts that you can visit with your kids:

Laksh Farms, Haryana

Spread across almost seven acres, Laksh Farms is a picturesque retreat located in Village Manger, off the Gurgaon-Faridabad Highway. The site treats one to the experience of a rural farm, which attracts a lot of urban kids while keeping them away from the digital world for a while. Kids visiting this destination can learn about growing plants, milking cows, making butter, and a lot about eco-farming. Children can also participate in the farming activities. Plus, the place also offers tractor rides and camel rides.

How to reach: The resort is just a 30-minute drive from Chattarpur Mandir, Surajkund, Gurgaon and Faridabad.

Located atop a hill surrounded by pristine forests, this resort in Thekkady lets you be one with nature. Apart from enjoying the natural landscape, populated by wildlife, children can enjoy several adventure activities like safaris, boating and trekking. At the resort, you can keep your kids engaged in the in-house activity area where they can play indoor games.

Located on the southwest coast of Goa, on the Benaulim beach, this resort not only offers a chance to relish a serene environment with its lush green landscape and a marvellous sea view, but also boasts of special entertainment opportunities for kids. “Kids have a ball at the hotel, with a range of bespoke creatively stimulating activities, indoor and outdoor sports and games,” reads the website. JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa, Uttarakhand

Located in Mussoorie, this resort organises special sessions for kids in its 12,000sq ft kids’ club where they paint, make paper crafts, origami crafts, among other things, at regular intervals between 11am to 6pm. The kids are also shown movies during their stay. Chargeable activities including video games, snooker, pool, temple walk and trekking, among a host of other opportunities.

How to reach: The resort is nine kilometres from Gun Hill Vintage Point and 30km from Dhanaulti. The Library Bus Station is eight kilometres and the Dheradun Railway Station is 39km. The Jolly Grant Airport is 63km away while Delhi International Airport is 291km.

The Ritz-Carlton, Karnataka

This resort in Bengaluru welcomes kids to interact with the environment by introducing them to what its website calls the “four important pillars of Ritz Kids discovery”-water, land, environmental responsibility and culture. The resort also arranges night safari adventures where kids are treated to interesting goodies like “cool caps to accessories to bracelets for free ice-cream…treated to chocolates every morning and evening”, along with story books and a host of activities like Super Little Chef cooking classes, Little Photographer polaroid rental, Art of the Craft local arts sessions and In-room Twisters as the website mentions.

How to reach: The nearest airport is Kempegowda International Airport, which is about 35.5km from the destination.
