Karan Johar roped in as Kapil Sharma’s replacement in ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’?

Ever since its inception, Kapil Sharma’s comedy show on Colors TV ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ has been a hit not only among the masses, but also among the classes. The pathbreaking show is now left in a lurch as the host Kapil will be discontinuing with the show, following a slip disc injury.

The channel has now brought in Karan Johar as a replacement on the show. KJo judges ‘India’s Got Talent’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ on the channel and is already famous for his talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’.

According to a report published in DNA, “Kapil has suffered a slip disc injury so he is not in a position to host the show for now. The channel had two options to choose. Either they could drop the show or continue with a new host. They opted for the latter.”

“The channel has plans to rope in three more Bollywood celebrities. Karan Johar has been finalised already. They are in talks with three others to come on board,” the report added.

Kapil Sharma shot for his last episode with Salman Khan when the superstar appeared on the show to promote his upcoming movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Kapil had tweeted:
