Film fraternity mourned the loss of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor J Jayalalithaa. From Bollywood to Kollywood, actors took on to social media platforms to express their sorrow and some even shared their experiences with the late leader. One among that is the picture shared by popular actor Sridevi with Jayalalithaa from 1971 Tamil blockbuster movie, Aathi Parasakthi.
The picture shows a young Sridevi as Lord Murugan sitting in the lap of Jaya who essayed the role of Goddess Shakti. The film features Jaya and Gemini Ganesan playing lead roles. The film was also dubbed in Hindi as Jai Jagat Janani in 1976.

“The most articulate dignified, cultured and caring lady, lucky to have worked with her. I Along with millions of our people will miss her[sic],” Sridevi posted along with the picture on Twitter.
The actor also shared her grief while praising the leader. “A great leader who drew huge respect, love, adulation and worshiped by millions of followers, the country will surely miss Jayalalithaa Amma. RIP,” the actor added.
Jayalalithaa passed away in Chennai after 75 days of hospitalisation on Monday night. The actor-turned-politician was readmitted to the critical care unit (CCU) of the hospital after she suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday.
Jaya acted in over 120 films spanning over 30 years during which she graced the film industries in four languages. She was one of the top actors of her time post independence in the country.
The actor dazzled the big screen with movies from many genres including fantasy, folklore, mythologies and family dramas.
