Amid speculations that Tollywood actor Pawan Kalyan would drift away from film industry into politics, the actor has cleared the air stating that he will continue his acting career. “Acting is my livelihood. I will not stop. Yet, I will continue my political journey,” Pawan, as quoted by Telugu Cinema, had stated clearly.
The report also suggests that the actor will start shooting his current film Katamarayadu, an official remake of Tamil blockbuster Veeram, from September 24, joining the crew four days after scheduled shoot. There were rumours that the movie has been dropped and the actor is preoccupied with his political career.
Under the direction of Dolly and production of Sharat Marrar, the action entertainer Katamarayadu will feature Pawan Kalyan as a faction leader. Actress Shruti Haasan has been roped in as the female lead in the movie. Anup Rubens is providing the music for the film.
Earlier, on Pawan Kalyan’s birthday on September 2, producer Marrar took on to Twitter to post the ‘title poster’ of the movie.
“Wishing our #katamarayudu a very Happy Birthday! #HBDPawankalyan #PSPK @PawanKalyan . Watch the title poster. Enjoy! http://bit.ly/2c7ZXyE,” Marrar tweeted.
Pawan Kalyan is the founder member of political party Jana Sena in Andhra and Telangana. After a massive rally in Tirupati in August, Pawan Kalyan, on September 9, held the Seemandhra Atma Gauravan Sabha (Seemandhra Self Respect Meet) at Kakinada, where he raised the demand for special status for Andhra Pradesh. The last time Kalyan had made such a public appearance was while campaigning for PM Narendra Modi in the state before the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
