The Victorian-era special will receive a limited roll-out in US and UK movie theatres when it premieres in January 2016, reported Aceshowbiz.

PBS Masterpiece executive producer Rebecca Eaton said, “‘Sherlock’ fans just can’t get enough of the show in any way, shape or form. Offering the show on lots of platforms makes it more of an event; good buzz raises all boats.”
