After much wait, the first trailer of Christopher Nolan’s World War two drama Dunkirk was released. And like all his earlier films, even this one didn’t disappoint.

Based on real events, Dunkirk revolves around the story of allied soldiers from Belgium, Britain and France who are surrounded by the German army and evacuated during a fierce battle in World War Two.

Singer Harry Styles, who debuts as an actor with this film, plays a soldier caught in the middle of the evacuation of Dunkirk. The trailer also shows a glimpse of Tom Hardy, who is piloting an aircraft and engaged in combat.
