Bachchan auctions favourite jacket to raise funds for tigers

The jacket went for Rs 6.5 lakhs and actor donated another Rs 11 lakhs for the campaign.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has auctioned off his favourite Harley Davidson jacket to raise funds for the Save Our Tigers campaign,of which he is the brand ambassador.

The jacket went under the hammer for Rs 6.5 lakhs and the 69-year-old actor donated another Rs 11 lakhs to contribute to the total of Rs 5.81 crores raised for Tiger Conservation .

His son Abhishek too donated Rs 11 lakhs,while forest guards at Ranthambore contributed their day’s salary to the cause.

The campaign attracted support from many other artistes,including Pankaj Udhas,Swanand Kirkire,Kailash Kher,Sunidhi Chauhan,John Abraham,Purab Kohli,Kunal Kapoor,Rahul Bose and Karan Johar.
