Wazir opens to a positive response, watch audience reaction

Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar starter Wazir has opened to good and positive response on Day 1 of its release.

Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar starter Wazir has opened to good and positive response on Day 1 of its release. IndianExpress.com visited a multiplex and Gaitey Galaxy theatre in Mumbai to gauge viewers reaction towards the film. While we didn’t see crowds thronging in both theatres which is understandable given that it’s not a holiday today, a sizeable number of people were present to watch the first show. Viewers present in Big Cinemas (Andheri, Mumbai) enjoyed the suspense drama weaved in the storyline of Wazir to the core. Many expressed their delight at having watched a thrilling suspense drama after long and looked thoroughly satisfied with the performances of Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar.

Audience in Gaiety Galaxy too loved the movie, although it was not exactly the kind of mass potboiler that this single screen is used to playing.

A senior citizen we spoke to remarked that the movie though well-made would appeal more to the cerebral masses.

However one octogenarian gentleman, who is a regular at Gaiety Galaxy, seemed very disappointed with Wazir and Amitabh Bachchan’s performance. He indicated that the film lacked the general entertainment value that he expected to find.
