Ishq Junoon billed as Bollywood’s first threesome movie has irked the sentiments of Shiv Sainik Jitendra Janawale who has now lodged a police complaint against the posters of the movie. Terming these posters vulgar and outrageous, Jitendra in his complaint has demanded action against the hoarding owners and the movie’s director Sanjay Sharma.

Talking to, Jitendra said, “These posters which are exhibited in public are in really bad taste. They are vulgar and outrageous. It sends out a bad message to the youth of this country. Young school going kids and ladies are offended seeing these posters. It will have a bad impression upon the minds of kids who will in turn ask their parents what the poster is all about. Sexual crimes are on a rise and such posters will only worsen things. We have lodged a complaint in Juhu police station against the hoarding owners and director.”

Jitendra also clarified that he has no problems with the release of the film and won’t stall the same. “If the movie has been certified by the CBFC, they can release it in theaters. Our protest is against the obscene posters that they have put up in public places which shouldn’t happen. It’s sending out a wrong message to the future generation.”

Meanwhile, the film’s director Sanjay Sharma had this to say when contacted for a comment. “My film Ishq Junoon is based on a new and bold theme that has not been explored by others and that is what is being conveyed to the targeted audience through the posters of my film. And what one sees in the posters are the integral part of my film which has been duly approved by the censor authorities of this country. I don’t think people should resort to such unlawful moral policing to attain political mileage out of this. This is what I feel about the entire episode that has erupted against the poster of my film.”

The film is slated to hit theaters on November 11.
