Akshay Kumar starrer Jolly LLB 2 has collected Rs 97.92 crore in 11 days, inching closer towards Rs 100-crore mark. In fact, the film will cross into the all-important Rs 100-crore club by Tuesday afternoon. With Jolly LLB 2’s performance, Akshay Kumar has equalled Shah Rukh Khan’s record of seven Rs 100-crore films. The film earned Rs 2.48 crore on Monday. The film also stars Annu Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Saurabh Shukla. It has already earned more than Akshay’s Baby, which earned Rs 95.56 crore in its entire lifetime. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#JollyLLB2 [Week 2] Fri 4.14 cr, Sat 6.35 cr, Sun 7.24 cr, Mon 2.48 cr. Total: ₹ 97.92 cr. India biz.”

Subhash Kapoor’s courtroom drama has garnered huge accolades from critics and fans alike. The film did a stupendous business during the second weekend, keeping its winning momentum despite new releases at the box office. Jolly LLB 2 collected Rs 17.73 crore on the second weekend. The film collected Rs 4.14 crore, Rs 6.35 crore and Rs 7.24 crore on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively. Jolly LLB easily becomes Akshay Kumar’s fourth hit in a row after Rustom, Airlift and Housefull 3. Made on a small budget, all these films did a great business. Rustom, Airlift and Housefull 3 collected Rs 127.44 crore, 129 crore and 109 crore. Earlier, his Holiday earned Rs 112.65 crore, Rowdy Rathore made and Rs 131 crore and Housefull 2 made Rs 114 crore.

Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios told ANI, “We are humbled by the overwhelmingly positive response that we have got for Jolly LLB2. A huge week one ensures that the film will enter the 100 crore club, making it back-to-back four Akshay Kumar movies to do so. We are expecting a big second weekend and all eyes are now on what the lifetime of this film will be.”
The drama has earned $1.4 million on 163 screens in the US and $270,000 on 22 in Australia, according to Forbes. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is already working on his upcoming film Toilet Ek Prem Katha. The actor was recently shooting the film in Bhopal. Akshay also said that Bhopal is cleaner than Mumbai and emphasised on keeping one’s surroundings clean.
