One of India’s premier B-school XLRI – Xavier School of Management (XLRI) was on September 1 inaugurated the 7th batch of its Post Graduate Programme for Certificate in Entrepreneurship Management (PGP-CEM: 2015-16). The programme was inaugurated at XLRI’s Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) in XITE campus, Gamharia in Seraikela-Kharswan district.
The new batch consisted of 66 students shortlisted on the basis of a rigorous selection process. As per the XLRI press release, while half of the students are from Jharkhand, the rest is drawn from the rest of the country.
Dr Vishwa Ballabh, Chairperson, EDC of XLRI commented, “Our objective in launching this programme is to generate a group of entrepreneurs who are equipped with conceptual and operational skills required for running a venture successfully.”
XLRI has also invited eligible candidates to apply for its Executive Diploma in Human Resource Management for working executives.
The duration of the programme is 16 months with six terms. It comprises 15 compulsory courses spread over the first five terms and the sixth term is exclusively devoted to action research based project.
The following criteria would be used for selection: The basic requirements will be Bachelors degree (minimum of three years full-time study) from a recognised university in any discipline A minimum of 5 years of post-degree full-time work experience in managerial positions.
