
There is life beyond IITs and PMT and parents should look beyond these options, Emeritus Scientist SV Eswaran said during a mentorship programme here for undergraduate admissions.
“There is life beyond IIT and PMT. Parents please keep yourself off them and let your children grow in an organic manner,” Eswaran, Emeritus scientist at UNESCO-DBT Regional Centre for Biotechnology said during the programme which was organised to help aspirants make wise choices.

MentorYes, a mentorship network founded by IIM and LSE alumni, organised the day-long programme where 16 top faculty members from Ambedkar University and various DU colleges addressed over 150 students and parents on the curricula, scope and future prospects of various bachelors courses available.

Other speakers included Sri Venkateswara College Principal Hemalatha Reddy, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College Principal S K Garg, Sanjay Kumar, Dean (Academics) of St Stephens College and Geetha Venkataraman, Dean at Ambedkar University Delhi.

“The course you choose stays with you forever while college stays with you for only three years. Choose wisely and choose only what you are passionate about,” Garg said.
