HBSE results 2016: The girls have outshined boys by scoring a total of 70.77 per cent while boys are at 55.79 per cent in the Haryana Board (HBSE) Class 12 results 2016.
The total pass percentage of regular students is 62.40 per cent while private students have registered 54.22 per cent.
The results were announced by the Chairman of the Board, Jagbir Singh. He said last year, the result of regular candidates was 53.96 per cent.
About, 2,44,877 candidates appeared for the exam out of which, 1,52,815 have passed. While 1,36,748 boys took the exam, 76,296 passed it. Among girls, out of 1,08,129 students, 76,519 have cleared the exam.
The Board Secretary, Pankaj, said that the pass percentage of government schools have performed well and have scored 62.23 per cent while government-aided schools have registered 66.17 per cent. The pass percentage of private schools is 62.00.
The rural students have performed better than the urban by scoring 64.67 per cent while urban students are at 58.79 per cent.
