Digital classrooms in 1,500 Telangana schools in phase I

Telangana government would introduce digital classrooms in the first phase in 1,500 schools from November 14, the Children’s Day, Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari said in Hyderbad on Monday.

Srihari, who inaugurated an education exhibition at a school here, said the digital classrooms are being introduced as part of the government’s resolve to improve quality of education.

The state government would also set up computer labs in schools, an official release quoted him as saying.

He also said the notification for District Selection Committee for teachers’ recruitment would be announced soon. The notification was delayed due to re-organisation of districts in the state.
