A 45-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly molesting, threatening and assaulting a 20-year-old girl and her mother on Sunday.
According to police, the accused Milind Kale, resident of Mahatma Society in Kothrud, had an argument with the girl and her mother on Sunday during which he allegedly assaulted the girl as well as her mother. The entire incident was caught on Closed Circuit cameras. “Kale hit the complainant and her mother with hands and footwear as well as threatened them and touched them inappropriately. He also spat in the face of the complainant’s mother,” said V P Rajput, Police Sub Inspector, Kothrud police.
Police produced Kale at a magisterial court asking police remand. Police are yet to obtain the CCTV footage from the society officials and police said there was a possibility that Kale might pressurize the society against handing over the footage.
The court sent Kale to two days of police custody.
