Pune constable practising for physical trials dies due to heart failure

A 33-year-old constable Ram Namdev Nagare died due to heart failure while he was practicing for the physical tests for the post of police sub inspector, at the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) ground in Hadapsar on Monday morning.

Nagare had joined the Maharashtra police on October 9, 2008 as a constable and was currently attached to the control room of city police.

As per a press release issued by the Pune city police, Nagare had scored 218 out of 300 in the written exams and had qualified for the physical tests.

While practicing at the SRPF ground at around 9.10 am on Monday, he suffered heart failure, causing his death on the spot. He was rushed to a hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. He is survived by his parents, wife, and two children. ENS
